Digital Utah

Find digital resources of historical significance from a variety of digital collections in Utah. Some of the collections material is rare, hard-to-find and may be unavailable anywhere else. You can find digitized photographs, manuscripts texts, maps, audio & video recordings, transcripts, books, yearbooks, newspapers, theses and dissertations, and digital exhibits, as well as "born digital" items.

Each of these collections provide free, online access to digitized material. Copyright terms may exist.

Utah Digital Newspapers: Image of The Park Record Utah Digital Newspapers

This digital collection contains more than 50 newspapers from Utah. Titles range in date from the 1850s to the 1960s. The digitized newspapers in this website may be browsed by issue or searched by keywords, article titles, weddings, deaths, and births.  Search all newspapers, select a specific newspaper or browse by county. This project was funded by the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) and digitized at the University of Utah.

The Utah Digital Repository is part of the Mountain West Digital Library, with funding provided by the Utah Academic Library Consortium and the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Utah State Library.

A small but growing collection from the holdings of the Utah State Archives made available for online research. Collections include historical material from: Board of Pardons, Division of Animal Industry, Division of Corporations and Commercial Code, Legislature. House, Lieutenant Governor, Vital Records and Statistics, and the Governors of Utah Digital Collection.

The Stewart Library Digital Collections site was created in 2007, through the generosity of the Stewart Education Foundation.
Collections include the Dee Family Collection (marriage register, correspondence, and photographs), David Eccles Papers Collection, Ogden history collection, Utah Construction-Utah International Collection (annual reports and photographs), Weber State University History Collection (yearbooks and photographs), and World Wars and Weber County Collection (photographs and oral history).
Western Waters Digital Library Western Waters Digital Library (WWDL)

Launched in 2003, the Western Waters Digital Library (WWDL) contains government reports, classic water literature, legal transcripts, water project records, personal papers, photographic collections, and video materials about the Columbia, Colorado, Platte, and Rio Grande river basins. The WWDL is a collaborative regional project created by twelve university libraries in eight western states.
