Ancestry.com - A very popular genealogy portal, some free information, other information is fee-based.

Family Search - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints genealogy search for ancestors, sharing information and learning about the world's largest Family History Library and find the nearest library.

Find My Past - Fee-based family history search from England allows users to research UK ancestry.

ProGenealogists - A metasite of links to free and fee-based U.S. genealogy research as well as research worldwide, including US GenWeb sites, cemetery and census sites, place names and maps, military information, vital records and more.

Genealogy Home Page - A comprehensive collection of links to help and guides, North American, worldwide and religious resources, newsgroups & mailing lists, libraries, software, societies and more.

Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation - A nonprofit organization that was founded to build a correlated genetic and genealogical database. The database maintains strict confidentiality of participants' information while linking individuals together in "relationship trees" based on their DNA.

USGenWeb Project - Consists of a group of volunteers working together to provide Internet websites for genealogical research in every county and every state of the United States. The Project is non-commercial and fully committed to free access for everyone. Organization is by county and state, and has links to all the state websites which, in turn, provide gateways to the counties.

Interment.net - Cemetery transcription library, nearly 3 million records from over 5,000 cemeteries worldwide.

Cemetery Burials Database - The searchable databases are a product of the Utah Cemetery Inventory Project that includes names and other recorded information about people who are buried in the Utah cemeteries.

Utah Death Certificate Index This database is a name search only, last name first. Results include the names in the database that come close to matching the name you specified. Clicking through to a specific name provides name, death date, sex, and age. There's also a link to order record copies (note there is a charge for this service.)
