Essays is a unique database of full-text essays and discursive writing based on books published in the 20th century which have been analyzed in standard library indexes. The essays focus on the humanities and social sciences, and include biographies and literary criticism. Salt Lake City Reads Together
This is Salt Lake City's new book club, see what books are currently being read, suggest book titles for future selections.

One County, One Book The goal of "One County, One Book" is to have all Salt Lake County adults, new readers, students and families, reading the same book to create a countywide conversation and greater understanding. Books are available for check-out at all 18 county library branches and to pick up and share with a friend in several county facilities.

Utah Storytelling Guild
After the first Timpanogos Storytelling Festival in 1990, four Utah storytellers got together to create the Utah Storytelling Guild. Since that day, the guild has grown and chapters have been created to offer local meetings for tellers to convein. The guild has fostered the art of storytelling in Utah.
