Child Nutrition Programs, Utah State Office of Education
Utah's Child Nutrition Programs (CNP) seek to improve the nutritional well being of all Utah children so they may reach their full potential. Research shows that children who are well nourished learn and develop much better than those who lack adequate nutrition. The following programs are administered by the Child Nutrition Programs section of the Utah State Office of Education in accordance with U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations:

Utah Bureau of Health Promotion

Utah Partnership for Healthy Weight
The Utah Partnership for Healthy Weight is a nonprofit corporation and public-private partnership of over 30 Utah organizations working to coordinate, promote, and support efforts to combat obesity in Utah.

Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion (CNPP)
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's CNPP works to improve the health and well-being of Americans by developing and promoting dietary guidance that links scientific research to the nutrition needs of consumers.

National Association for Health and Fitness (NAHF)
The NAHF is a non-profit organization that exists to improve the quality of life for individuals in the United States through the promotion of physical fitness, sports and healthy lifestyles. NAHF accomplishes this work by fostering and supporting Governor’s and State Councils and coalitions that promote and encourages regular physical activity.

The President's Challenge
The President's Challenge is a program that encourages all Americans to make being active part of their everyday lives.

President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports
The President's Council provides health, physical activity, fitness and sports information. Find publications, and link to the resources of other government agencies as well as to health and fitness organizations.

USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference 
An online search from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Agricultural Research Service provides the nutrient content of 7,519 different foods.
