Use TAP to manage your Utah tax accounts. Individuals can manage individual income tax accounts including return filing and payments. TAP allows you to:- File or amend tax returns
- Make tax payments (including scheduling payments for future dates)
- Check refund status
- View your account history
- Update account information such as an address
- Grant your account representative (accountant, bookkeeper, etc.) third-party access to use TAP on your behalf.

Utah has developed an e-file program jointly with the Internal Revenue Service called the Fed/State MeF (Modernized Electronic Filing) Program. This program allows taxpayers to electronically file both federal and Utah corporate, partnership or individual income tax returns together. Corporate, partnership, and individual income tax filing is currently available. If you would like to use this program, contact your tax software vendor or accounting service to see if they support this. - Utah Income Tax Calculator
Calculate your Utah taxes. Before you start, you must have calculated the Utah taxable income on your tax return.
- Utah PaymentExpress is a service of Utah.gov. The State of Utah has contracted with a service provider to establish an application to process electronic payments. Taxpayers can use PaymentExpress to electronically pay tax liabilities from a variety of payment documents such as: returns, billing notices, payment agreements collector contacts, etc.
- By Mail – Send your payment Form TC-547, Individual Income Tax Return Payment Coupon. Write your social security number and the tax year on your check or money order and mail with your coupon to the following address by midnight, April 15, 2010.

The Income Tax Refund Inquiry System is only available for your 2009 Individual Income tax return, not prior year filings. Provided by the Taxpayer Access Point (TAP).

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance/Tax Counseling for the Elderly (VITA/TCE)
Free tax preparation assistance through the Utah Tax Commission and located throughout Utah in libraries, community centers and other areas. For elderly, disabled, and low-to-moderate income taxpayers. To get updated information or to find the closest Volunteer Return Preparation Site near you, please call 2-1-1, Information Bank or the IRS at 1-800-829-1040. If you dial 2-1-1 you can make an appointment or find out about the walk-in hours for all the sites statewide. Complete information on these programs, including qualifications, what to bring, and site locations, can be found on the IRS website.
